Certificates Awarded to 18 New Practical Training Mentors

29. May 2025.

A ceremonial event was held at the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce Tuzla to award certificates of successful completion of training to the fourth group of practical training mentors, consisting of 18 participants from business entities in the Tuzla Canton. The training, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton, the Pedagogical Institute of Tuzla Canton, and the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce Tuzla, aims to equip mentors with additional knowledge and skills in pedagogy and methodology to enhance their work with students. The certificates were presented to the participants by master mentors, who delivered the three-day training and shared the necessary knowledge and skills for improving the quality of practical training and mentoring students more effectively. The participants agreed that the training was extremely useful, particularly in terms of approaches to student mentoring and working methods. They emphasized that the knowledge gained will be valuable in implementing practical training in their respective companies.

“With the completion of this training, we now have a total of 69 trained mentors in business entities across Tuzla Canton, equipped with pedagogical-didactic competencies. These mentors will significantly contribute to improving the quality of practical training and, consequently, the competencies of students required in modern work processes,” said Nedret Kikanović, President of the Cantonal Chamber of Commerce Tuzla.

The trainings will continue in the upcoming period, and all business entities that currently host students for practical training — as well as those interested in participating in this process — are invited to register their employees. The trainings are implemented as part of the project “Improvement and Promotion of Dual Vocational Education in Tuzla Canton.” This activity is being carried out in 2025 in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, within the SEDEP program co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union, and the Government of Switzerland.
