In the premises of the Chamber of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, certificates were ceremoniously awarded to 17 new mentors from the Zenica-Doboj and Central Bosnia Cantons who successfully completed the training program for practical training mentors. Through the training, participants acquired knowledge and skills in mentoring students in practical training outside of school, became familiar with the characteristics of working with high school students, and learned the pedagogical foundations of mentoring. The training lasted 40 hours and included independent practical work and learning.
The training was organized by the Chamber of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, with technical support from GIZ. The three-day training was held from May 30 to 31 and June 2, 2025. Participants came from various companies, crafts, and public institutions throughout ZDK, as well as from the company GS TMT from the Central Bosnia Canton.
This activity is part of the “Strengthening Vocational Education and Training in BiH (SVET)” initiative, which is a component of the “Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP)” program. The program is co-financed by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Union, and the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by GIZ with the goal of improving the quality of vocational education in BiH by strengthening the connection between the education system and labor market needs.
