If your company is planning a project in a developing country or emerging economy that supports the sustainable transformation of the economy, now is the perfect time to apply! The develoPPP Classic programme, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has launched its ideas competition for the third quarter of 2025.
What is develoPPP Classic?
develoPPP Classic provides technical or financial support to companies seeking to expand operations in developing countries while directly contributing to improving the lives of local people. Projects must align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
Financial Support
Selected projects can receive between EUR 100,000 and EUR 2 million, provided the company contributes at least 50% of the total project costs. Funding is awarded through regular ideas competitions, where the most promising initiatives are selected.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for support, your company must meet the following criteria:
- Be registered in an EU country, a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), or an OECD-DAC country;
- Be privately owned and profit-oriented;
- Employ at least eight people;
- Have an annual turnover of at least EUR 800,000;
- Have at least two audited annual financial statements;
- Demonstrate positive net income and have sufficient equity and liquidity to finance your own contribution.
