Organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sports of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde and the Chamber of Crafts, a formal ceremony was held today to award certificates for the successful completion of the mentor training program, intended for those who have completed professional training to work with students in the real sector.
The 40-hour training, implemented by certified trainers in accordance with the official curriculum of the Ministry, was successfully completed by sixteen mentors. Certificates of completion were presented by Minister Adisa Alikadić-Herić.
“The mentor training sessions for practical education in BPK are organized with the support of the project ‘Sustainable Economic Development and Promotion of Employment’ (SEDEP), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union (EU), and the Government of Switzerland (SDC). The training was delivered by certified master trainers from the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde,” said Minister Alikadić-Herić.
According to her, mentors from various industry sectors are now qualified to provide professional support to students pursuing vocational careers within their companies. She emphasized that BPK Goražde is one of the first cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to express interest in adopting the dual education system.
“To date, eighteen companies have expressed willingness to include their staff in the mentorship system. Among them, the well-known company ‘Ginex’ d.o.o. joined this year on its own initiative, further confirming the growing interest of the business sector in participating in this process. A crucial prerequisite for the implementation of practical training in companies is the presence of trained mentors who can work directly with students and pass on knowledge in a real working environment,” stated Minister Alikadić-Herić.
The ceremony also highlighted opportunities for continued and strengthened cooperation in the future, to the satisfaction of all participants.
