The project “Synergy in Skills: Green & Digital”, which is implemented through the Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion Program (SEDEP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was presented at the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska on 20 March, 2025. The program in the section “Strengthening Vocational Education” is co-financed by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Government of Switzerland, and implemented by GIZ. The goal of the program is to improve secondary vocational education with a special focus on green and digital skills, which are key to a successful transition from the education system to the labor market.
President of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, Pero Ćorić, pointed out that this project provides pupils with the opportunity to actively engage in production processes through practical classes, thus acquiring the skills necessary for future employment. The project includes four components, including labor market research, mentor training and the integration of green and digital skills into educational processes.

On 21 March 2025, the Gradiška Technical School was visited by Jens Elsner, Head of the Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion Program (SEDEP) in BiH and Roman Gorowoj, Manager of the “Strengthening Vocational Education and Training” (SVET) component from GIZ. The school principal, Tomić, informed the delegation from GIZ about the school’s activities, as well as future plans for its further development.
The GIZ delegation then visited the school workshops and met the professors and pupils. After the visit to the school, Mr. Elsner and Mr. Gorowoj visited the company TIKT d.o.o., a long-standing partner of the Gradiška Technical School, where they were introduced to activities related to dual education and cooperation between the school and the economy, which has been functioning at an enviable level for years. This information was confirmed by the owner of TIKT d.o.o., Mr. Krešimir Bodrožić, and the Head of Human Resources, Mrs. Tanja Torbica-Tepavčević. Students and mentors presented the way in which practical teaching and training takes place on a daily basis at TIKT d.o.o. in Gradiška.
