Perhaps you have an idea that could make a difference.
An information session on the Youth Climate Action Fund / StrukaTron open call was held during Sarajevo Unlimited. The call was launched by the City of Sarajevo in cooperation with the initiative’s partners: GIZ, the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Education, the Sarajevo Canton Chamber of Commerce, Networks and the Networks Foundation.

The call is open to young people aged 15 to 24, offering them an opportunity to turn their climate action ideas into projects in their schools, communities and city.
A total of BAM 75,000 is available through microgrants ranging from BAM 1,700 to BAM 8,500.
Support is available for ideas that contribute to:
⚡ Energy efficiency and clean energy
🚲 Sustainable mobility
♻️ Waste reduction and the circular economy
🌿 Green infrastructure and public space improvements
StrukaTron, designed for vocational secondary schools, has a special place within the call. It gives young people an opportunity to connect their ideas with the knowledge and skills they gain at school—and take the first step towards turning a school idea into a project.
StrukaTron is supported by GIZ’s Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion (SEDEP) programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina, implemented with the support and co-financing of Germany, Switzerland and the European Union.
Support does not end when a microgrant is awarded. Selected teams will have the opportunity to develop their ideas with expert mentors, prepare to present them to a selection committee and receive support during project implementation.
📅 Application deadline: 30 September 2026

Climate action does not have to begin with a large project.
It can begin with one good idea. 🌱💚
