Digital transformation consists of two key components: the people who drive it and the elements that shape it.Leadership in Digital Transformation<\/strong>Executives play a crucial role in leading digital transformation, and their decisions and strategic directions are key to the success of this process.Elements of Digital Transformation<\/strong>Transformation occurs through strategic investments in technology, human capital, operations, products, and services, laying the foundation for sustainable growth and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in this journey, we focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Raising awareness and strengthening the capacities of managers and employees to lead and implement digital transformation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Developing an ecosystem that provides support to businesses during digital transition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Supportfor SMEs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    SMEs will have access to technical assistance and grants through GIZ and local intermediaries. One of the most prominent intermediaries is the Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) network, established under the EU4DigitalSME project implemented by GIZ in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This network fosters innovation and growth in the private sector, providing support for digital transformation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Policy Development and Long-Term Economic Recovery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    At a strategic level, the project collaborates closely with the OECD to strengthen the capacities of key stakeholders for long-term planning of regenerative economic growth. The focus is on strengthening sectoral coordination committees (SCCs) and working groups related to the Small Business Act for Europe (SBA).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Public and Private Sector \u2013 A Shared Vision for Development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The project actively contributes to public-private dialogue, involving private sector representatives in policy creation. It also aligns with broader economic development initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ensuring synergy between different stakeholders and the long-term sustainability of results.
