Building on this growing network of digital innovators, the 2026 edition takes the Challenge a step further \u2014 empowering women to go beyond service design and <strong>develop full digital service prototypes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/digigreen.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/govstack-head.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digigreen.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/govstack-head.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/digigreen.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/govstack-head-300x75.jpg 300w, https:\/\/digigreen.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/govstack-head-1024x256.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/digigreen.ba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/govstack-head-768x192.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-justify wp-block-paragraph\">In partnership with the <strong>World Bank<\/strong>, the <strong>DPI Safeguards Initiative <\/strong>(stewarded by the UN Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies and UNDP), and academic partner UCL IIPP and communication partner GovInsider, WiGTC 2026 offers a hands-on journey to design and build inclusive, citizen-centric digital government services using the <strong>GovStack approach <\/strong>and <strong>Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Safeguards<\/strong>. Women professionals from diverse backgrounds are invited to join as <strong>mentees or mentors <\/strong>to learn, collaborate, and lead the next generation of GovTech innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s New in This Cohort<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Potentially <strong>Work on Real Implementation Use Cases: <\/strong>Participants will have the chance to pick ongoing, real-world digital government implementations to base their prototypes on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pitch to Ecosystem Partners: <\/strong>During <strong>Demo Day<\/strong>, teams will have the chance to pitch their functional prototypes to ecosystem partners, potentially creating opportunities for their solutions to be selected for <strong>pilot implementation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Open-Source Prototype Listing in the GovStack Library: <\/strong>Teams can choose to open-source their prototypes. Open-licensed solutions will be featured in the <strong>GovStack Library<\/strong>, making them accessible to the global GovTech community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Program Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Capacity Building: <\/strong>Comprehensive training on the GovStack building block approach, safe and inclusive Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) through the Universal DPI Safeguards Framework and best practices for digital service design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mentorship: <\/strong>Tailored guidance from a diverse pool of female technical mentors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaboration: <\/strong>Teamwork on real-world use cases, supported by facilitators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prototype Opportunities: <\/strong>Teams will create prototypes which they will pitch during a Demo Day that may be selected by international partners for further development after the Challenge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Showcase Opportunities: <\/strong>Presentation of top solutions at an international high-level event i.e. WSIS 2026 in Geneva.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00a0Key Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Applications Launch: <\/strong>3 November 2025 (at DPI Summit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Application Deadline<\/strong>: 7 December 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Participant Confirmations: <\/strong>15 January 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training Period: <\/strong>February \u2013 March 2026 (6 weeks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Demo Day: <\/strong>End of March 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Participants will engage in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Weekly lectures and office hours across 6 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team-based assignments leading to a final pitch. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E-learnings powered by <strong>atingi<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentoring sessions and dedicated technical support. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team-based prototype development with mentorship support <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potentially work on Real-world Use cases proposed by global partners <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to <strong>GovStack<\/strong> experts and international networks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What Participants will Gain:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mastery of interoperable and reusable software components, <strong>GovStack Building Blocks<\/strong> principles and agile service design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential experience working on real implementation use cases. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A
