In Zenica, Empress d.o.o. demonstrates how the textile industry can be innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible at the same time. Through the employment of young people, mentorship, investment in digitalization, and the application of circular economy principles, Empress is building a business model that places people and sustainability at the center of development. This story presents the experiences of employees, mentors, and students who, through practical work, gain new knowledge and employment opportunities, while also showing how modern technologies and a zero-waste approach can contribute to a more competitive and sustainable future for the textile industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The video was produced as part of the project “Enhancing the Framework for Sustainable Vocational Education and Training with a Focus on Green Transformation,” implemented by the Chamber of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton with the technical support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The project is part of the Sustainable Economic Development and Employment Promotion Programme (SEDEP), co-financed in this segment by the Government of Switzerland and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
